As I thought about which article I wanted to revisit this week I thought about which of my articles challenged me the most personally, so I picked Attitude Is Everything. Hopefully through the article and conversations in the comment section that follow it we can give you some encouragement if it’s an issue for you.
While going back through all of my blog posts in the past year, it was really a tough to choose just one. But there is one that I really love to go back and read myself. On March 24, I posted Is There Power in Prayer? I have seen the power in God’s answers to my prayers, and so in the upcoming year, I hope it can be a reminder to you to take all your needs to God, no matter how big or small. He is listening and wants to bless your life, your marriage and your marriage bed. All he’s waiting for is for you to ask. May God bless you abundantly in the New Year!

In looking back at my own past articles on here, I realized pretty quickly which one I wanted to repost. We had a woman to write in to us, asking us how in the world we had all the energy and time to have sex as often as we do, which she thought was daily, by the sound of our posts! 😆 I was glad that she wrote in, because it gave us a chance to clear up some misconceptions.

Here we go with another “outercourse” position! Outercourse positions are great for those times when penis-in-vagina intercourse just isn’t possible (menstruation, infection, etc.)
For this position you will need two pieces of comfortable furniture such as the bed, sofa, chair, ottoman, or cushioned stool. The wife will lie back onto something (an ottoman works great) and then put her feet up onto a higher piece of furniture or counter/table. The last time I was looking to purchase a vibe I decided to try one that was a little more expensive. I love that it is a very quiet toy and that it has a safety lock on it so that it won’t accidentally turn on, which are both problems I have encounter previously.
There are quite a number of nice looking toys at the Lelo site including the Bo and Lily so feel free to peruse the site for what interests you. For people who have more money than they know what to do with, there are even gold-plated toys. 🙂
Given that I was able to purchase my Iris for about $75 and for all it’s benefits that I have described I give the Iris by Lelo 4 1/2 peppers. The only deterrent for me is the price so the rating is reduced for that reason as you may not be able to find a Lelo toy in a price range that fits your budget.
Your mission this week is to reflect back on your last year of marriage. Take note of the things that brought you joy. Take note of the hardships you overcame. Look at the areas where you failed. Look at the ways that you contributed to a healthy relationship with your husband. Look at how your intimacy has grown. Look at it all and then spend some time thinking about how you want next year to look. DH and I have had the most fun lately. A lot of people (family included) have not caught on to our “code words”. Have you ever tried them? Do you have any code words or symbols that you use to let your spouse know that you are in the mood for some good lovin?
With the holiday seasons upon us, our code words have been related to the holidays lately. Our kids have NO CLUE. Whenever we have needed some private time while the kids were home from school over Thanksgiving, our code word about “Christmas” came out a lot. Have you ever tried “Dad and I need to talk about Christmas” ? It works like a charm, and literally, our teenage son asked us the other day if we had decided what we were getting him for Christmas! Code words can be a very flirtatious way to interact with your spouse in other forums, too. Try it out on his home page on Facebook or Myspace!! If you think of creative catch phrases that sound harmless, it is a very good way to unexpectedly give your spouse something to think about or look forward to. Trust me, my own family members have fallen for this. My DH and I get a giggle when an aunt asks if we decided what to buy her in all our discussing!
I recently did an article about the game “A Private Affair”. They had a unique idea with their game. A simple pin that you could wear as a secret code between you and your spouse. If you wear it during the day or out in public where your spouse can see it, he knows that you have something special planned or in mind. And the code doesn’t have to be about sex. It could be an “I am thinking about you” or ” You are on my mind right now” or an “I thought about sex today” kind of code as well.
Other types of codes can be slipping a pair of panties in his briefcase or over his rear view mirror, sending a text on his phone or a sexy email, writing him a love letter or a “hoochy mail” type story, kidnapping him to an unknown location….the ways are endless.
After the holidays are over, we’re going to need to come up with a new code for our secret rendezvous…. let the creativity roll!
