Your mission this week is to have a look at your bras and panties to see if any of them need replacing. I have found a bra style that I love the fit of and feel sexy in so I wear that as my every day bra and then I have some other fancier ones for special occasions. So I buy two of those bras every six months, one in black and one in white, just so that I can keep my breasts supported well. And let’s face it, when our bras get all stretched out and worn, they just don’t look as nice. I also go through my panties similarly and make sure they are in good condition. It’s really nice to wear under things that make us feel pretty, and of course it can be a blessing to our husbands as well. š

This is a great Monday mission. I actually went through all my underwear at the end of last week and got rid of everything that was looking a little old or that I never wear. It made room for the new stuff I got at Christmas and is making me think more in the morning about making an effort with what I’m wearing for my husband under my work clothes. It’s also great for my self-confidence, making me feel sexy and pretty all day.
man, you shoulda done this mission last week when Lane Bryant was having their semi-annual sale š (actually, it might be going on today still, I’m not sure.)
I got some bras that I can nurse in (none of my nursing bras fit properly and they just don’t give the kind of support I need – at least not the bras I can afford!) plus I got one bra just b/c it was red and lacy and sexy – can’t wait to have a baby-less date so I can wear it š
Anyways, I have now learned that there is NOTHING like a good fitting and attractive bra (even if it’s a simple one) for making you feel better about your self. Plus having proper support under your clothes makes your whole appearance improve. I look like 15 pounds lighter with a good bra on!

I agree about how nice underwear can do so much for ourselves…& our husbands. I am almost 5 months pregnant and wishing I was not so restricted in terms of buying underwear! My underwear habits changed A LOT the year or so before I became pregnant (this time around) but now I just can look at all my pretty stuff sitting in a drawer (have gone up like 3 cup sizes so far) and am stuck with the maternity stuff š¦ !!
I loved wearing low rise bikini underware when I was pregnant (all 3 times). It’s perfect becase it rides just under the belly…and they come in g-strings too!
I have 4 kids and I never let pregnancy get in the way of wearing sexy stuff. I just have a variety of bras in different cup sizes that I keep on hand for the size changes during pregnancy. š (Lane Bryant has some sexy stuff for bigger cup sizes) And sexy panties can be worn during pregnancy too! Don’t let it get you down, you can be pregnant AND sexy at the same time!
Thanks ladies…I think this is more to do with me coming to terms with my new “beached whale” form, hence I look at my pre pregnant lingerie with longing to still fit into it! I was anorexic pre marriage and even though food issues are behind me, pregnancy is a pretty tough time as it is so the antitethesis of thin!
illicium- I always like to think of a pregnant woman as ripe, and full of the fruit of God’s creation. Very beautiful! I always loved the tight, full belly of my pregnancies. I hope you’re getting lots of positive affirmation from your DH!

I took my mom dress shopping last week and saw her in her bra- ahhh!
I made her get fitted for a bra and she was 2 cup sizes off. She looks so much better in her clothes now. The right size bra can make the girls look so much better.
You are SO RIGHT about having the correct bra size. I didn’t get a fitting until I turned 30, and thankfully I wasn’t that far off! š
I am so excited that I will soon get to do this. I am having a reduction next month and will go from wearing only white granny bras to hopefully something a little sexier. I got gift certificates to a lingerie store for Christmas and the promise of birthday gift certs. to the same store. Wahoo! I am most excited to get to buy matching bra/ panty sets. (I have never gotten to do that)

Yes, sexy lingerie does make me feel sexier but make sure you wear it for you and not for someone else’s desire. The reason I write this is bacause my husband really does not find me sexier with lingerie versus without whereas I find it a huge boost to my self esteem.

Good for you!!! I’ve been thinking about doing this for quite some time now, just haven’t gotten around to it. Not one for elective surgery, but i’m still thinking about it. However I’ve always found very sexy bras in stores and online. You might have to pay a little more for them, but there out there! I just think it would be great to buy a shirt or sweater that doesn’t gap and is still stylish.

HaHa.. that was always my mothers big thing with us girls when we were growing up. She always bought us good bras with support. i wanted to wear the cheapie cutsie ones, but mom wouldn’t have it. Gotta love her, now I do the same with my girls,(who of course, have all gotten the “well endowed gene” from both sides)
Oh, she also made us clean out our bra/underware drawers every six months or so. No holes or worn out elastic allowed. She did let us by pretty ones though, even a little sexy!! iI guess i grew up with this mission. š
We were just talking about bras in another thread here. There are some very sexy nursing bras available on line now in different colors and laces. I’m in the beached whale stage pregnant with twins and still nursing a toddler so I need an industrial strength bra. But I’m looking forward to wearing something sexier post-birth.
Thank you thank you! This site is amazing! I just have a suggestion about the old unmentionables. For those of you who feel guilty about throwing away “perfectly” good clothing, instead of throwing them away try to recycle them. Launder them first of course and pass them on to Goodwill or one of those bins that takes recycled clothing.
