I use to have my nipple pierced……..many moons ago……..but it was at a time when I was partying hard and not following the Lord. It got infected and I took it out. It was by far the most painful of my piercings and I blacked out during the piercing. Ouch! Now I have a few earring holes and two nose rings and a labret.
just one hole in each ear. I went for years w/o wearing earrings but since June I have been wearing a pair my H bought for me. That is true of all of my daily jewelry, I don’t wear a lot so I try to wear the pieces he gives me the most.
You know what i like about piercings versus a tattoo? you can remove the piercings as you age. i’ve got a tattoo as well (on my shoulder blade) and i’ve started to see older women, like 65 and 70 with tattoos, and unfortunately, as we age gravity kicks in and draws our skin to the ground; i don’t much like this, however, not much we can do about it. i just didn’t find anything sexy about the “sagging” roses on their skin. but with piercings … you can just take them out!!
having said that, i think piercings can be a lot of fun and a little naughty too!!
I have my lobes pierced. There was a time I wanted an ear cuff on the cartilage at the middle of one ear, but I decided against it.
I still want a tattoo ;).
I have two holes in each ear and used to have my nose pierced, but it got super infected and I had to take it out. I also have a lower back tattoo which drives my hubby wild. It’s Chinese for loyalty/faithfulness, I chose it to symbolize my faithfulness to my husband and to God and their faithfulness to me. I keep it covered most of the time since I got it mainly for mine and my husband’s enjoyment. I love tattoos and piercings but I have to contain myself since I’m a preacher’s wife and not everyone loves them as much as I do!
How do you handle/withstand having piercings in places other than the ear? I don’t understand it, and forgive me, but to me it seems a bit strange and very uncomfortable.
I have various ear piercings, 5 all up. On my left side I have my ear pierced twice then the cartilage done at the top. On my right I have my first piercing then about half way up (just below where the cartilage begins) I have another piercing. The “extra” 3 I have I kinda did because I was being rebellious and my mother hated them but also ’cause I thought they were funky. I have my nose pierced but I only ever wear a small stud. I used to have my belly pierced but after birthing 4 babies (not all at once) I’ve lost my lovely flat stomach so I’ve taken it out. Not that I wear midriff tops any more, it’s not like it’s something I would be wanting to show off these days, however when I was younger….. DH and I had thought of getting matching tatts, our wedding date in roman numerals but I’ve chickened out and I think he’s slowly deciding against it ’cause we think like lionheartedwife and aren’t too keen on the prospect of sagging 🙂
Ari-chan, it has been my thought too. It did seem very strange how one can get their nipples or clit pierced. As people claim, it might give them some sexual gratification. But, the question always remains – is the pleasure worth the pain?
I have my nipples pierced. I’ve had kids and breastfed so it didn’t hurt as bad as some would say. I got them done the first time (yes i’ve had it done twice now!) when I was in the partying stage. But this time I got them redone because my husband thinks they are hot, and well 😉 I like to please my hubby:)
I have two holes in each ear. I have debated over the years about getting another but it would probably have to be in the cartilage and I have bad luck with new piercings. They get infected and I react to the metal when its in that long. So, I’ll have to be happy with my two. Although I know DH would like more. I do want a tattoo though and would love DH to get a couple.
I have zero piercings and for some reason my hubby thinks that is hot. When I put clip on’s on for fun or a costume I look hilarious and about 10 years older.
Is there a reason why studded earrings hurt the longer I keep ’em in? I prefer dangles, but I can get the same effect, just at a slower rate compared to the studs.
You are probably allergic to the metal in some earrings. Studs touch more of your ear than a dangle does. I have the same problem. I can’t usually wear cheap silver earrings and can usually only wear gold plated posts or hooks or ones that are hypoallergenic. Even then some earrings bother me. I can’t wear just any old cheap ones or they hurt. I have to get nicer ones. DH got me some nice sterling silver earrings for Christmas that I can wear forever but they were more expensive. I think the cheaper metals are just more prone to irritate. Try a slightly more expensive pair one ones with gold plate on the stud, they might be easier on your ears. But everyone who has issues with metals will have problems with different ones. Some people can only wear silver and gold hurts so try a few different metals to see if any are better.
It is always better to avoid cheap metal jewellery. Usually it is the presence of nickel that Causes allergies in most people. Now, if you look at the noble metals gold and platinum, they are resistant to corrosion to a much greater degree. While metals corrode and form an oxide layer (sometimes a passive oxide layer) when left in air, the reactivity can increase under wet conditions. Now, clit piercings or labial piercings are exposed to urine which can be acidic at times (usually,it’s ph is close to that of waters) and using cheap jewellery there can elevate the risk of corrosion. It is the corrosion bi-product that reacts with the body. Metal hypersensitivity is an easy thing to deal with. Go for good quality stuff.
Does your husband like them as well? I think nipple piercings would be great cuz mine are so sensitive but man I just dont think I could do the pain! I had a tattoo on my ankle in the fall dang thing hurt so bad I swore never again! That was my second tat first on on my hip didn’t really hurt that bad so I think that’s why I was so surprised by the second one but totally scared me to do anything else after that!
You’re probably right. The studs I’ve worn had that cheap metal coating. My dangle earrings don’t look fake, but my earlobes still hurt slightly when I take ’em out after wearing them for the bulk of the day.
I just re-pierced my ears last weekend because I had let them grow in, but I want to start wearing earrings again. I used the original studs I got when I got them pierced and they are gold. It does make a difference if you use higher quality metal.
Also, make sure your earrings are clean when you put them in. I sterilize mine every now and then with rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide because if you put them in with bacteria on them, that can cause irritation too.
Sometimes the weight of a dangle can cause a bit of pain by the end of the day if they are at all big. Try smaller ones to solve that problem. I hope you find some good ones of both types. 🙂
I ‘ve had both my ears pierced since I was 8. I seldom wear earings, but when I do my DH loves them so much I have a hard time keeping him from constantly nibbling my ear lobes. I love it, but want to keep it special, so I find myself wearing earings when I’m in a playful mood and it kinda gets things going and we always end up in the bedroom!
For those of you who have sensitivity to different metals in earring, you should check out Simply Whispers jewlery. They have some kind of “special” metal blend that doesn’t cause irritation, inflamation, or redness. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law are both hypersensitive to different types of metals, so this is the only place they can buy earrings and not have a problem. Hope this helps!
i had my ears pierced when i was 5 and they got so infected that the doctor wanted to cut my ear lobes off. i tried again when i was 15 and only used 24 carat gold. my ears got so inflamed and swollen i had to take them out before the end of the week. now i try to wear clip-ons but i can only leave them on for about an hour before my ear lobes start to swell up. i’ve always loved ear rings, but oh well…..
Hello! I have a question about piercing…on clitoris! Is it OK in God’s eyes when wife makes piercing there? I heard that it stimulate clitoris during walking. Is it OK to be all the time aroused? Maybe i am wrong about non-stop stimulating. Can you advise something about this?
I have my toungue (just one bar), ears (4), nose (3) and both nipples done. I have breastfed with pierced nipples, you can buy special soft plastic jewelery. I decorate my house, so why not my body? 😀
My O/H says he doesn’t mind them, some times he likes it when I take them out, as hes says its “different”. They defo makes you more sensitive in that area!
I have my ears,cartilage pierced multiple times and I have my clit pierced. I do not walk around in a state of arousal. I can’t even feel it, just like my ears. I didn’t get it for any sexual reason, but it was personal. Hardly anyone knows about it, but it is my favorite piercing, just because it was so meaningful. Also, getting the piercing wasn’t painful. The place ran out of numbing cream, I just used an ice bag for a few moments, and by the time my brain registered any discomfort, the piercing was done.
This site has been a Godsend to my wife and I and after much thought, this is important enough to post, even though I’m a man. Especially when noting clitoral piercing is the second most common location among CN poll respondents.
Piercing the clitoris can be extremely dangerous and result in unrecoverable nerve damage. The smaller the clitoris the greater the danger. Further, the fact is most piercing “artists” do relatively few of these types of piercings over their careers. If considering this it would be wise to find someone who specializes in uncommon piercings over running down to the neighborhood tattoo parlor. I think it is possible that some confuse piercing the clitoral hood with piercing the clitoris. This is a very important distinction.
Some readers may want to try clip ons before getting a real piercing. I apologize if I’ve offended anyone.
hahah they def are i got my tongue pierced as my valentines day gift last year, the actuall piercing didnt hurt but the 2 weeks that followed were my rendition of hell lol but all in all its worth it or at least thats what hubby thinks , i think its cool too gonna get a monroe piercing for my b/day , the way i see it if you’re into the piercings then why not and if it pleasures your hubby well then thats an added bonus 😉

They submitted themselves to their own husbands, 6 like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear.
I do not believe that this verse is teaching us to avoid jewellery or wearing nice clothing. I believe it is teaching us that what makes us beautiful is who we are in our character.
I understand that people may interpret this differently depending on how God has worked in their lives, but I think it is an error to prescribe this verse as evidence that women should refrain from doing anything that would show outward signs of beauty.
I would agree the focus is on the gentle and guiet spirit which is of great value to God. If this were the only scripture to say such things I would quite possibly agree with you on the rest. But it’s not. I would also point to a passage that many here use as an arguement to be clothed at all times.

I had both ears pierced when I was 16. As for getting parts pierced that are covered by a swimsuit, that would be a real problem for me, as the person doing the piercing isn’t my doctor or spouse. Just a question for thought: should someone other than your physician or spouse be seeing that part of your body? I leave that to the rest of you to answer.
it’s surprising to me to see (currently) in the “view results” on this poll that ladies have your clit pierced more than belly buttons! wouldnt have thought that! personally i’d never get my clit pierced; too freaked about if it’d kill sensitivity for me in my DH’s and my sex life…cuz everyone’s different! and i did just get my navel pierced! 😀
